Festival Fling: Part II/Celebrating 17 Years of Falcon Ridge

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This is the second of three “Profiles” programs celebrating major folk festivals in the Northeast this summer. Falcon Ridge, held on Long Hill Farm in Hillsdale, N.Y., is the Northeast’s premier festival oriented around the singer/songwriter genre. For several years now, it has been a four-day gathering of folk and acoustic music and dance. The gathering of the tribe is July 21-24 this year.

This show featured a sampling of some of the lengthy list of artists who will fill the air for four days with wondrous notes — and then some. Thanks to Falcon Ridge Executive Director Anne Saunders for graciously offering tickets for on-air giveaways for our listeners.
