A Splendid Potpourri

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

Ah, how varied the world of folk and acoustic music.

This show’s offerings range from recently recorded traditional ballads collected by Sir Francis James Child to selections from bluegrass legend Del McCoury (who’s making a rare Connecticut appearance this weekend) to fine old chestnuts to the remastered reissue of a classic Talitha Mackenzie and then a stunning debut album from Oirialla. What an evening for sitting back and listening intently.
